Load firmware

Before using, you need to write the appropriate firmware program for Nora; Nora can support all types of firmware of the Ardupilot platform, and the firmware of the PX4 platform will also support it. The following will describe how to load the Ardupilot firmware.

ArduPilot firmware

The X7 series autopilot supports ArduPilot. The following mainly explains how to load ArduPilot firmware.

Nora is supported by ardupilot version 4.03 or higher firmware.

For a better experience, please update mission planner to 1.3.57 or higher.

Load firmware online:

Connect the autopilot to the computer, open the ground station, click the "initial setup" interface》 "Install Firmware" and select the firmware type you need》waiting for the Load firmware to complete.

PX4 firmware

Through the efforts of the CUAV R&D team and the PX4 team, X7 and Nora are now compatible with PX4 firmware.

Because the NUTTX system does not support more than 8bit sensor data, the X7 pro cannot run the PX4 firmware temporarily. It will be compatible after the PX4 team upgrades the system.

Support models

When X7 and NORA are running the PX4 firmware, they can output up to 8 PWM channels. M9~M14 cannot output PWM signals temporarily. Therefore, it can only support multi-rotor/fixed-wing models for the time being. Vertical take-off and landing aircraft are not supported. For vertical take-off and landing aircraft, please use Ardupiolt firmware or wait for the firmware to be updated and repaired.

Update firmware online:

Please download QGC Ground Station (extract code: bgi8); open the ground station> click the settings icon> click firmware

Because the latest version of the qgc ground station has some bugs to be fixed, please temporarily use the QGC ground station linked above.
