CAN PMU FAQ

  1. Why is the voltage reading higher in flight than after landing?
  • Cable and battery internal resistance cause a voltage drop under high current, and the drop grows with current. Keep the cable from the CAN PMU to the battery as short and thick as possible; this noticeably reduces both the drop and the measurement error.
  1. Can I use it above 110A?
  • The maximum measurement range is 110A, with peaks of about 160A. For a good experience, do not run it above 110A for long periods.

NOTE

With a 6S pack, consider moving to a 12S power setup: for the same power, higher voltage means lower current, which improves both efficiency and equipment life.
